Andrew Mi

Andrew is currently a fourth year student at Princeton, studying Philosophy, Visual Arts, Computer Science, and Music.

By both philosophical and artistic lenses, he is interested in the ethics of attention, our senses of self, and the rituals of sociality that follow. In an interrelated way, he is also deeply invested in discovering possibilities of interpersonal understanding outside of language.

He is currently working on a senior thesis on the possibility of extending moral status to non-organisms.

Outside of the think-sphere, he can be found geeking about serving coffee at work, waving his hands in score-study, and stuck disembodied in the darkroom.

He was born in the Bay Area and has spent parts of his life growing up in Beijing, Shanghai, and Connecticut.

He calls Shanghai his home.
